So I am on this healthy kick getting ready to go on vacation (and dare I say it, put myself in a swim suit).
I am looking for some healthy recipes (no sugar, flour, dairy or red meat), and my friend shared this one with me. It was so YUMMY and easy I had to share it with you!
Asian Turkey Lettuce Wraps:
1 Package Ground Turkey
1 Red Pepper Diced
1 T Olive Oil
1 t Minced Garlic
1/4 t Red Pepper Flakes (I left out for the kids)
1/4 t Ground Ginger (you can use a 1 1/2 T fresh if you have it)
1/3 cup Hoisin Sauce (super cheap at asian marts)
1 T soy sauce
Garnish with 1/2 cup green onion
In skillet heat 1T oil in pan over medium high heat and saute diced red pepper for 2 Min.
Next add, turkey, garlic, ginger and red pepper flakes and cook until meat is no longer pink.
Add Hoisin sauce and soy sauce and stir.
Serve with ice berg lettuce.
