Day 8 Advocare 24 Day Challenge | Why Supplements?
Today was a GO GO GO day! I drove down to Olympia which meant I had to be up by 5:30am to eat, pack my lunch and hit the road so I wouldn’t hit traffic. I have already had Chipotle twice this week, so I wasn’t going to do that again One thing I appreciate about Advocare is the neat and tidy vitamin packets. I don’t have to open a billion bottles and I know what to take and when to take it.
But why do you need them? One thing I have felt in the past is when I try to lose weight by lowing my calories I would tend to feel like crap. Since I have started taking the supplements I actually feel fantastic! When you lower your caloric intake in the efforts to lose weight, it’s really hard to get 100% of your nutrition – so you need supplements. By adding these into my daily routine I have felt 100% better.
My friend Anna shared her husbands story with me last night over dinner. She was saying that two months before they started on the Advocare Challenge she changed her husbands diet. He was in the habit of eating a lot of junk food, 8 cans of soda a day etc. During that time when she made his lunches and he was eating a much healthier diet he didn’t loose a pound. Just on the 10 day cleanse he lost 12 and 1/2 lbs! Pretty cool to see those changes and to hear that he is actually feeling better and has more energy. He also has celiac disease, which I hear is miserable to have.
Day 8 Burn Day:
Before Breakfast – Take 1st packet of MNS, 3 Catalyst, 2 Thermoplus and Spark
Breakfast – 2 Scrambled eggs with diced onions, peppers and spinach
Snack #2 Almonds- I forgot to bring a fork and had to wait a bit longer for my lunch
Snack – Meal Replacement Shake
NAP TIME! - I haven’t had a nap in ages and it felt great
Dinner – Chipotle Bunless Turkey Burget and Salad
Exercise – 1 Hour of Zumba – While I am still going to be doing Insanity, I love my Zumba and decided I am not going to stop going to my friday classes
Tomorrow is a Refuel Day and I am really looking forward to some Sweet Potato Fries – I will also let you know that I have a planned cheat day – My best friend is moving to Spokane and we are going out to dinner and I will probably have a glass of wine. I did measure myself a couple days ago and I have already lost 1/2″ off my waist. For me that is great because I don’t have a lot to lose, just mainly toning at this point – go here for pictures.
