You can double any manufactures coupon $1.00 or less for the same value (not to exceed value of product)
Limit 3 back to back transactions
You can’t use a Twice the Value Coupon with an in-ad coupon
Important note: Albertsons policy has changed, read more here and they allow overage. You will see many of these deals allow overage with the Twice the Value Coupon! This is okay.
This is an INCREDIBLE list. I can’t thank you enough! We are a family of 5 living off of 1 income right now. These savings help us a lot!!! Thank you!!
IT CLEARLY STATES ON THE TTVS THAT REDEMPTION CANNOT EXCEED THE VALUE OF THE ITEM. NO OVERAGE CAN BE CREATED BY A TTV ONLY IF THE MANUFACTURER COUPON EXCEEDS THE ITEM PRICE.
The talk about overage with TTV actually isn’t even addressed in the new policy, but after seeing the discussion on facebook I talked to my manager and that is the case they will give overage. I ask why and they said it is easier to keep it consistant.
I’m so sorry about the caps. I wanted to catch everyones attention. Im a manager at an albertsons and we emailed our district manager on this topic. they said that we are to follow the rules on the twice the value coupons and not to exceed the price of the item. Again, Im so sorry to everyone for coming off as rude. I really apreciate this site. I use it every day and loooove it!! When rules are inconsistent between sites, as an employee, I get the blunt end of the stick. Which is why I was so “passionate” about my first comment, lol. I hope everyone will accept my appologies.:)
Thank you Amber for all u do for us. I am so sorry for the rude, ungrateful people out there that don’t understand how much u do for us. You do a wonderful job please don’t let people like that ruin your day. You have helped me and my family out so much and I really appreciate it. Happy New Year to you and your family!
Hi Amber,
I just wanted to say I just had my 1 year anniversary couponing and I couldn’t do it without you!!! Thank you so much for your hard work with this site and all the free classes you let me take and such. You are an AMAZING friend and I’m so happy I met you.
p.s. totally ignore mean comments, sometimes people don’t even take the time to read and learn and just jump to conclusions.
Like I said you are AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! as are all the people who help with your company and I’m soooo thankful!
I know I use all caps sometimes w/o thinking so I’m hoping that this is the case here… If you are trying to make a point I think we all got it. You are upset b/c you know more than Amber and everyone else. In which case you should start your own blog instead. Please don’t ruin our couponing experience b/c you know it all…
It’s only 3 days into the new year so let’s all be THANKFUL!! Amber, I appreciate all you do for us!!! My family income has been reduced by 60% and you’ve helped me survive for the last 8 months! I only wished I would have learned about coupons a long time ago!
Keep up the great work! I appreciate all that you do for us and Happy New Year!!
So my question is regarding the Hungry Jack Pancake Mix Easy Pack $0.79. I don’t ever seem to find the tear pads when they are mentioned. Is there some other place to find them other than right by the products?
Thanks much,
Rhonda
tearpads are more of just a lucky thing. don’t rely on getting deals with them, but if you happen to find them, you’re lucky.
i used to go crazy thinking about deals i missed cuz of tearpads, but if you just change your mind altogether about them and don’t count on deals with them, there’ll be less disapointment
If you see a tear pad listing on the match ups you may want to ask your store manager. I know my store 196th specifically will hold them at the cash registers so people will not take the whole thing. I am not sure if your store has the same deal, but that is were I got the Hungry Jack coupon The only other source I know of is ebay, unfortunately people sell them.
Rhonda,
I could not find the tear pad either. I went and scoped out our albies and didn’t find the fiber one bars or any of the tear pads. There was not alot of sales at ours Just a quick look through the whole store tho. I searched for anything that would be good…WISH i had the tear pad lol:)
I really don’t mind being called out or questioned, just don’t want to be yelled at The internet is a hard gig because you can never see facial expressions of the other party. That tough skin everyone tells me to have….well I have a hard time getting there. Thankfully I have great friends & such a wonderful husband!
thanks to your hard work and this post, i was able to score 2 old orchard juices, 2 olive oils, 6 up2u gum packs, 2 brawny paper towels and 1 wholly guacamole salsa for under $3.00 with 15 albertson doublers and coupons you told me about. YOU ROCK and thank you for saving our family so much money all the time.
happy new years!
Amber,
I picked up the Herald at the Dollar Tree this morning and found that it was missing the TTV and RP inserts. I know the Seattle Times had the TTV inserts but was surprised to find the Herald missing both items. I prefer the Herald as the Times never has the RP inserts.
Yes they should. But Newspaper delivery is always give the ads first and papers are not required to put them in the Newstands, or that is what I was told by the Herald. When I have purchased them from the 1.00 store I ask if I could check the papers first and they were totally okay with that
Seattle Times does not carry the RP. It used to be Tacoma and Everett papers that did until the Everett Herald stopped this fall. The thing about buying your papers at the store is that the papers get an x amount of coupons (such as smartsource) and they make sure that subscribers get the inserts first, retail locations second. One retail location may get some papers with all the coupons and some papers missing some. While yes, I do believe that people steal the coupons, I also know that this is probably the more accurate scenario. While I have a subscription, when I do buy a paper I ALWAYS check to make sure they have the inserts before I purchase the paper
Thank you so much for providing a link to this screen shot!
The wonderful chashiers at Albertsons are busy people like all of us, and it is a lot to expect them to understand things we are confused about ourselves. The changes are still new and will take some time to run smoothly. I had a woman use photo-coppied coupons right in front me in line at Albertsons a few weeks ago, so it’s understandable that the cashiers are frustated as well. I have been so blessed with all the deals I’ve gotten, I don’t get upset when something doesn’t go as planned because I just think of all the amazing deals that went as planned or even better than planned!
Happy New Year to all, and Happy Couponing!
Response on facebook: “Dear Catherine, In my previous posting I misstated our overage policy and for that I apologize. Our newly revised policy allows our customers to apply any overages from Manufacturer coupons to their entire basket purchase and we are very excited about this. The new overage feature does NOT include our Twice The Value (TTV) coupons which are Store coupons. Store coupons do not qualify for any overage application. If a manufacturer coupon is valued at $1.00 or less and does not exceed the retail price of the item, you may use a Twice the Value store coupon to match the amount up to the retail price. Sincerely, Steve.”
Amber…thank you so much for posting these (and everything you do to help us save serious dough!). You are a gem and I hope you have a very prosperous 2012 and great coupon-y new year!
I just wanted to say thank you! Thanks for all that you do posting and listing all these deals! Yelling is not necessary unless it is a THANK YOU!!!!!! I think people just dont realize what they are doing and get really jealous and/or upset when they cant get certain deal that others cans. ie overages with ttv’s (which i will try later today!!) or when one store has something on sale and another doesnt! everyone just needs to chill out and go with the flow and if you get a great deal then GREAT if not, oh well, maybe next time!! HAPPY NEWS YEARS TO EVERYONE!!!! and yes I yelled that, LOL!!!!
Amber…off the subject. Just got done watching your episode on extreme couponing. I was just wondering how you got around Albertsons doubling policy. I live on the other side of the state and was wondering if it is different over there or if they did it for the show. I love Albertsons and would love to be able to double more coupons. Washington must not be like other states in that aspect. Also I love your site and all the match ups you provide.
38th & Pacific in Tacoma Albertsons had $1.00 off one Red Baron Pizza coupons taped to the pizzas in the freezer case. Use the 3 pizzas for $9.00 sale; then use 3 manufacturer’s coupons with three doublers, and 3 Red Baron Pizzas for $1.00 each! Great find!
Also the Aquafresh trial size toothpaste with the 1.00 off Aquafresh from the 1/1 Red Plum ended up a money maker for me with a doubler although I didn’t plan it that way, the cashier just did it..
It may depend on your store, the Albertsons in Mukilteo took 2 of the B1G1 AND 2 of the $2/1 for 4 juices. I think it’s like some catalinas where it states “redeem at target”.. it’s only a suggestion. If it says “redeem only” or “only redeemable at…” then that’s when you can’t use it at another store.
Nyquil is a staple in our household, so I was excited to see it on the list. I just came back from Albertson’s and it is a better deal if you buy the 2 pack for 11.99 and use the $1/1 coupon – making each bottle, $5 rather than $5.99. I was kind of excited and that way I only used one TTV coupon!
Went to Albie’s tonight to buy the Langer’s Juice – my store had them for $2.50 not $1.50 – wondering if it was a store specific sale or if was a typo. I had found $1/1 coupons hanging off bottles at another store a few weeks ago & with the TTV’s, they ended up being $.50 each – though they would have been free if my store’s price was really $1.50 – may ask my favorite manager when she’s back at work about the price difference. :O) Anyone else see it?
I tried to do the Bob Evans deal and the store refused to take the coupons. They say I can’t use a BOGO & a cents off on two products? When I asked if this was a new policy as I know other stores allowed it before the holiday they blew me off with a ‘yes it is’. Then they wouldn’t give overage on the TTV, AND overcharged me on an item and ignored me while I waited at customer service forever waiting for them to fix the over charge.
And getting them to correct the overcharge was a nightmare as well when I was trying to be helpful. Are they wrong on the BOGO & cents off? This particular Albies has been so hit or miss lately with consistent coupon rules.

I understand this seems confusing, but please don’t yell (I am assuming you are because of the all caps)
It states in their policy that you can’t exceed a $1.00 coupon.

Amber – are the clearance items the ones they have at the back of the stores on a shelving unit? Or are they in their regular places on the shelf?
They can be in both places
For the pampers cruisers box, I believe it’s $1/1 so it can be doubled, making it $10.99 each
So my question is regarding the Hungry Jack Pancake Mix Easy Pack $0.79. I don’t ever seem to find the tear pads when they are mentioned. Is there some other place to find them other than right by the products?

Is the Muir tomato sauce a clearance item? I cannot seem to find it anywhere in my store, at least in the small can for $1.09.
P.S. I am addicted to this site!
The Muir Glen $.85/1 coupon is up again on pillsbury.com.
The Muir Glen was clearance at Pearl Street in Tacoma (the diced tomatoes for 1.50/ made them free with doubler and .75 cent coupon)
1. Double $1/1 Eco Tools coupon available last month from coupons.com (NLA) for free pumice stone, cheap hand scrubber.
2. Old Orchard Cranberry Naturals $2/1 coupon not being accepted at Northern Marysville Store due to “redeem at Hy-Vee” Use B1G1 instead.
It may depend on your store, the Albertsons in Mukilteo took 2 of the B1G1 AND 2 of the $2/1 for 4 juices. I can’t find the vanity fair coupon on coupons.com and my albis has them on clearance for 1.25. Help! What zip code did you find it under?
Thanks!
It was on zip 98037, but the coupon may be gone. These were posted before the new month when coupons.com resets
