I’m giving myself a break from couponing this week. With the amount of things I have to do for Christmas I’m just using what I have in my stash. Did not even buy a paper this week so there is no temptation.
I agree, I am just going to use my 5 papers from the herald and not buy any papers, my hubby is glad there are no coupon books, he got to sleep in today and tomorrow. Happy hubby, happy wife
Reach Floss – I have some 2.50/2 and 3.00/3 coupons – no idea what insert they came in, but could be as far back as the 4/17 that Amber lists above… I went today and got 6 reach floss, 1 panko bread crumb, 1 essentials pasta, and 1 10 lb bag potatoes = .80 OOP after overages!!!
The Challenge butter offer a week ago for $2.50 a pound with a dollar off coupon (bringing it down to $1.50 a pound) was completely sold out of butter. So I got a raincheck last week and used it this morning. Got a much better deal this week as I was able to double my coupon and paid only .50 cent a pound!
Also got the 3-pack Tree Top Apple juices this morning and paid nothing.
I have 5 inserts with TTV coupons that I am not going to use. Just too much other stuff to do. I live in Mukilteo and could meet someone nearby if you’re interested.
Hey Becky, I live in Mukilteo and would love to use them if you are not going to. I can also trade you for inserts, I have multiples of all the inserts from the last two months.
I live near Olympia, and none of the newspapers at the Safeway i went to had any inserts or TTV. Is anyone else having this issue? I looked in the Olympian, The News Tribune, and Seattle Times.
The inserts are on a different kind of paper this week.. just plain newsprint not slick paper. In Seattle times it is right in front of parade magazine insert.
Ok, so if Albertsons has the Del Monte Fruit Store Coupon for .88 a can, are we able to use a MC with it? I just want to be sure before going and not getting the deals I want.
Did anyone else find that some of the matchups above really don’t work? The Ferrero Rocher coupons are for the 5.5 oz size so you can’t use it on the 3 pack.
The $1/1 international delights was for the quart size that was $3.79, not $2. The Snyder’s pretzels coupon was only for certain varieties that weren’t on sale. I’m just curious if I was missing something of if the matchup is wrong.
The International Delights quart was $3.79 at my store, too, and even the pint was $2.29 so I’m not sure where the $2.00 price came from? I don’t see International Delights in the ad at all so I couldn’t verify. I had the same issue with the Snyders, too, but when I asked the cashier to do a practice scan the coupon worked on a bag that was $2.50 so I used it for that variety and got it for $0.50.
I had the same problem with the International Delights. The quarts were $3.79 not $2.00. Oh well, I still think $1.79 isn’t a bad price for as much creamer as we use in our house.
I am sorry guys. While I try my best to make sure all deals are accurate I will make mistakes. Hand typing the deals, flipping from database to database trying to fit as many regional coupons as I can. I also don’t get the RP so I can’t 100% check them all the time. But I do appreciate you letting me know.
When I go to the store I write the deals down on a sheet of paper come home use the coupon database and the database doesn’t always list the size restriction on it. That is why there is an error on a few of those. So when it comes to unadvertised deals it is a little trickier.
I am not sure their is a 100% fool proof system. All I can really say is this couponing adventure takes a Village, and I appreciate all of you helping out Amber
Every stores price varies! This ladies Albertsons might have had different prices. Do you want them to go to EVERY store in the country and list that too?! They do the hard work for you by making this list. The ladies who do these blogs need to post “store prices may vary” to help. Also, sometimes they use eachothers sites to list deals so if one person isn’t accurate in coupon limitations it messes all of the other deals up. I know, as a couponer, how frustrating it is though when you see a deal listed & you spend all of the time preparing your transactions, go into the store, only to find the prices or coupons dont match up. But for the most part, these ladies do us a huge favor. How about get some Christmas spirit and be THANKFUL.
… Since I’ve started clipping coupons I’ve been able to put away a little money to bring some Holiday cheer to my two kids and their cousins- they wouldn’t have gotten any presents from me and hubby this year had I not started clipping coupons… Coupon-ing became a hobby when hubby lost his job in February and I’m simply THANKFUL for all the wonderful ladies who put in a lot of their time and hard work to provide constant updates. So THANK YOU and Merry Christmas!
Don’t think they are un-thankful but it can be frustrating. I actually checked the creamer price and saw it was different, and made a trip to the store Amber uses thinking it would be the price listed and no. So absolutely thankful for the matchups, but understand the frustration too. Let’s enjoy the savings we are getting and be helpful to all, not gripy Merry Christmas!
Becky,
Id love to meet you and get the coupons from you. Please email me asap at rachelleveritt@yahoo.com I haven’t couponed for a few months and need to get started again for my family of 5
Krysta, I am so sorry if you feel I am ungrateful because I truly am not. I was simply trying to help out a fellow couponer know that she wasn’t “missing something” because I had run into the same issues she had.
Not being able to get the International Delights creamer for free actually worked out better for me because it freed up some of my doublers and I was able to use them with $1/2 Sprite coupons I found hanging from Sprite 2-liters to get them for just $0.25 each with a doubler. I needed the Sprite for a party so I was pretty excited. And I am quite happy getting my bag of pretzels for $0.50, too!
Every blog I follow showed the International Delights creamer for $2.00 – not just this one – so I am no way pointing any fingers. I just double-checked my ad trying to figure out if I had messed up. When I didn’t see it I didn’t worry about it. I actually don’t even like the stuff – it was just going to be a surprise for my sister who does.
Great buy on Mission tortillas if your store has .50 off 1 peelie on them making them .50 each. Also got .79 albies butter after doubles along with 1.19 coffeemate creamers(32 oz. size). Loved these deals.
I don’t recall Amber saying anywhere that she does this for free. Of course she gets paid, she puts in hours and hours of work. I’m assuming you get paid to do whatever job you do?
I have looked it up before and have found that they don’t make that much for what they do. Typically “Couponing/Deal” blogs have an average range from $25-$200 per month including referral bonuses (blogs ranging from 500 to 20,000 page views not necessarily proportionate to blog income). It is probably a little higher this time of year with all the referral bonuses and increase in online shopping. I doubt many bloggers make close to minimum wage with the amount of time and resources it takes. Coupon Connections posts all day long. Whether they make money or not, I appreciate that blogs like this one decreases my time and effort devoted to couponing.

Since there are no inserts this week I’m really not psyched about buying multiple papers for the TTV coupons alone.
I agree
Agreed

Im really counting on internet facebook doublers…if they dont do those you guys are so right not worth the price of the paper.

That’s awesome! The stores in my area are all out of bread crumbs.

I tried to do all 3 of those and they didn’t work. Bummer

The Rocher coupon is for 5.5 oz or larger. The three pack is smaller. The 5.5oz is larger than the 12 pack.

See all the banner ads and clickable links on this blog? Make no mistake about it people get PAID to write blogs!

Does anyone know the specific zip code for the $1.50/2 Glade Candle coupon? I click on the link and I’m not finding it. Thanks!
Try 98037. It was on there, but if a coupon hits the print limit they will remove
Looks like I’m too late for the Glade coupons
Oh well, net time! Thank you though!
