Starting Sunday: Toy Story Operation & Battleship $1.00 at Target & Walmart

September 16, 2011

Starting Sunday (9/18)  Big Lots is going to be selling selected Hasbro games for $5.00.  If you receive the ad circular,  this would be a great deal to price match at Target or Walmart using your $4/1 Hasbro Coupons.  Battle Ship and Operation are picture.  These make for great gifts or donations.

Toy Story 3 Operation $5.00
$4/1 Hasbro Operation, Guess Who?, Connect 4 or Battleship Game, exp. 10/9/11 (SS 09/11/11)
Final Price: $1.00

Battleship $5.00
$4/1 Hasbro Operation, Guess Who?, Connect 4 or Battleship Game, exp. 10/9/11 (SS 09/11/11)
Final Price: $1.00

*remember that selection may vary at store locations.  But I did see it Operation Toy Story on rollback at Walmart.com so it may be $5.00 in stores now?

Here are a few other price match deals:

All Laundry Detergent $3.00
$1/1 All Laundry Detergent, exp. 10/9/11 (RP 08/28/11)
Final Price: $2.00

Skittles Wild Berry, 14oz $1.80
$1/1 Skittles Lay Down-Target.com (manufactures coupon)
Final Price: $0.80

Thanks Vicki!

I was wondering the same thing..

When I have price matched items at Target I just take the ad I want to price match to the customer service desk. I have had no issues or concerns doing this.

If you read their coupon policy it states that they do. When I called my local Target to ask they weren’t familiar w/that. I’d take the policy w/me just in case. :)

on the coupon it states that “good only for items shown” .. does that mean that its only for the “original” operation game?? have you tried using it?!

Do you think it’s necessary to have the ad from big lots to get the price match? I have price matched at walmart before and they usually have the ads at the register. These would be great for donating at Christmas time.

Rachelle- There policy says you don’t need the ad, but I like to have it just in case :)

Technically you don’t have to have it, some stores do have the ads at the CSM podium and some don’t and look at you like your a baboon if you don’t have your own ad. The store I worked at always had the ads to check prices…

I was able to go online and print the page that showed it. It even prints the valid date on top. :)

Thanks for the post – price matched at Walmart this morning and we will be donating this for the toy drives for Christmas!

I price matched at Walmart and Target this morning. I got 8 Operation Toy Story 3 games for 1 dollar each. Great for presents and to donate.

Was it really necessary to get 8 for yourself? Thanks for clearing the shelf and making couponing more frustrating for those of us who would have liked just 1 or 2 for our own family. I’m sure we didn’t shop at the same store, but the principal is the same. I absolutely despise couponers that clear shelves-very selfish and unnecessary.

Wow Joy maybe she didnt clear the shelf….. And even if she did maybe she needed that many for her family, friends and donations. Im not fond of cleared shelves but if a person needs them then I think its perfectly fine for them. Why shouldnt they??? Its not our right to tell someone how many of something they can buy. This is a blog of sharing coupon deals not to slam people because they got a good deal. Just my opinion….

Have you even bought toys lately? Getting 8 of anything clears a shelf-there is a limited space for a single game. And the comment clearly states that some were purchased for donating-not just for family and gifts. I’m all for donating, but in this economy, couponing is putting food on the table. So when a good deal comes along so that our children can have a present at Christmas, it would be nice to be able to purchase it ourselves instead of having an empty space to look at because someone was selfish. A blog like this is the perfect place to let this opinion be known. I know I am not the only mom who would like to not be frustrated when a deal is gone because someone felt the need to purchase all of a single item. Maybe by seeing the other side, someone will think twice before doing this in the future. Just my opinion…and that of LOTS of moms

I am all for sharing the good deal. However it is not my place to tell anyone they shouldnt buy something. And every time I go to get the deal and there is none on the shelf I do not automatically assume someone took them all. Maybe the person before me cleared the shelf because there was only one left. My point in this is no one has the right to get mad at me if I took the last one rather it be I bought ten or I bought one. Your not the only person that feels this way I agree, but again I will say its not our right to tell someone how much of something they can buy. :) or get angry at them for doing so.

This is why the Target store I manage has a limit which is very generous in itself but its all corporate will allow us. Depending on the item we limit it to four per guest, so something like this wouldn’t happen. I agree with joy that it’s bad business to clear the shelf for one selfish guest.

I found out today that Big Lots don’t take Man coupons…they are a buyout discount store so they don’t get credit for coupons. Bummer! Guess I will just have to price match =o}

I’m sure this is ok and def falls into the policy but I feel weird price matching and using a coupon on a sale that is so low because they don’t except coupons (manufacturer won’t pay them). But I suppose this isn’t that much different then a store having a sale and using a coupon? I’m just question the moral implications..

Reply

Amber September 19, 2011 at 1:55 pm

The store will still get reimbursed when using this coupon even though it is a price match :)

I could not use any of the coupons today at Target or Walmart. Has to be for the one pictured. Bummer. The coupon does say for item shown, so I guess I will hope to find them on sale or clearance before my coupons expire. Oh well. I wasted a ton of time. I used the Sorry one at Target the other day for the Sorry Revenge card came. . .with no problems. Oh well!

Just left Lynnwood Walmart. They say they dont price match Big Lots. Anyone else have this problem? ?

Lee September 22, 2011 at 4:25 pm

The Lacey store told me they do not price match Big Lots. I just politely said that you have an ad-match guarantee and the coupon policy doesn’t specify which stores they will and will not ad-match. They said they would let me this one time, but for future reference they don’t price match Big Lots. Seems like false advertising to me.
